SoCal raw and talented athlete on the rise

Lancaster (Calif.) Antelope Valley could have at least four D-I prospects for the class of 2005. Rivals.com has already introduced to you athlete Andre Crenshaw and linebacker/safety Allan Mohan after they impressed at the NIKE Camp held in Los Angeles. Now it is time to introduce you to another player to watch.
The player is Randy Burton (6-5, 220, 4.7). Burton starts both ways as a wide receiver/defensive end for Antelope Valley but he probably projects as a tight end in college.

Burton was a first-team all-league performer in 2004 after he caught 37 passes for 431 yards and scored five touchdowns. On defense, Burton had approximately 90 tackles, six sacks and blocked one field goal attempt.
"Randy is a very raw talent," Antelope Valley coach Jon Fleming said. "But he has the overall potential to play on Sunday one day."
"Randy just has the natural skills and instincts you don't see all the time," Fleming said. "He is very coachable and has all the intangibles you only see once in a blue moon."
Burton has the frame that every D-I school loves. He will be able to add size and muscle without losing any quickness or speed.
Many times when players such as Burton begin to fill they get faster as well. There is no telling how good this young man is going to be. He has such tremendous upsides.
Many of the nation's top programs are already showing Burton lots of recruiting love.
USC, Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, Oklahoma, LSU, Tennessee and Boston College have all shown the talented Burton early recruiting attention.
Burton is definitely one to follow this coming fall as he is coming into his own as a football player.
