SoCal QB up to five offers

There is a pretty good reason that Garrett Green (6-2, 190, 4.5) from Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame will be one of the most sought after quarterbacks on the west coast. As a two year starter Green has led Notre Dame to a 26-1 record and two Southern Section Division III championships.
Green currently has four written offers and one verbal. The four written are from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Duke and Texas A&M. The verbal offer is from Washington and a written one is on the way.

As a junior, Green hit on 112 passes on 168 attempts for 1,364 yards and seven touchdowns while hitting on 59.6% of his passes.
Green can also make things happen running the football. He scampered for 809 yards on 94 carries and nine rushing touchdowns while averaging 8.6 yards per carry. He is a two-time All-CIF and all-league selection.
"We're coming off some pretty good seasons and we're losing some talented players," Green said about the coming season. "But guys are ready to step up, they're fired up and ready to fill in the spots."
Does Green have a favorite school?
"I am very open regarding colleges," Green said. "I'm not likely going to rush into a decision. I want to weight my options and take my official trips."
"I'm hoping to take some unofficial visits over the summer," Green said. "I have to see what my schedule is."
"I don't want to miss too much of what my team is going to do over the summer," Green said. "I missed spring ball because of track."
Green participated in the 110-high hurdle, 4x100 and the 300-high hurdle as a junior.
Now you know why Green is such an athletic quarterback.
In an earlier interview with Rivals.com Notre Dame coach Kevin Rooney had the following to say about his talented signal-caller.
"Garrett is a very gifted athlete and very competitive," Rooney said. "He has a strong arm and is a great runner."
"You teach him something once and he understands it and applies what he has learned," Rooney said. "He makes all the right decisions."
"Like all the great ones, Garrett has a great work ethic," Rooney said. "He works hard at everything he does."
