SoCal QB has first offer

Quarterback Dominique Blackman (6-5, 237, 5.1) from Carson, Calif., is another quarterback who will be highly recruited this fall. He already has one written offer on the table.
As a junior, Blackman threw for 1,800 yards and 14 touchdowns against seven interceptions. He also rushed eight touchdowns on the ground.

Blackman earned first-team all-league, first-team all-area and fourth-team all-state for his junior season performance.
Blackman could have broken the 2,000 yard mark but Carson had a running back who rushed for approximately 2,000 yards and having a successful running game limited his opportunities.
Kansas State has a written offer on the table while Nebraska, Iowa State, Texas Tech, Tennessee, LSU, UCLA and USC are all looking at Blackman with interest.
According to Blackman Cal came by the Carson campus last week to talk to Carson head coach Mike Christiansen and watch some tape on the talented Colt quarterback.
Blackman recently went to USC's junior day and the word is the Trojans are quite taken with Blackman. The other local school, UCLA was the first school to start recruiting Blackman as they were the first school to send me a letter.
"I'm camping with Dayne Crist, Nick Crissman and Gerell Robinson at Air 7 and we are considered the top quarterbacks there," Blackman said. "Steve Clarkson (owner and director Air 7 Sports) handpicked me to come to Air 7 after he saw me at the US Army All-American combine.
"I will be attending the NIKE Camp being held in Los Angeles on April 14th," Blackman said. "I'm not sure of any other camps.
"The only two schools I know that I will visit are Tennessee and Kansas State," Blackman said. "I may also visit LSU, but other than that I haven't really thought about schools or visits. I need to talk to my parents about stuff like that.
At Air 7 Blackman has shown that he has the strongest arm in the Camp now he wants to prove that he has the skills on the field.
Besides a cannon for an arm, Blackman has good technique and is working hard to improve all aspects of his game.
Blackman is going to be very highly recruited as the season progresses.
