SoCal QB earns fourth offer

Quarterback Josh Nunes (6-4, 205, 4.8) from Upland, Calif., received another offer this morning and his second from a Pac 10 team. Nunes will definitely be one of the most sought after quarterbacks on the west coast. He will certainly see his offers climb as the spring progresses.
"Earlier this morning (Friday, Feb 22, 2008) Stanford's Inland Empire Football Recruiter Coach Tim Drevino called Upland Football Head Coach Tim Salter to leave some good news on his cell phone," Upland assistant coach Mike Esquivel said. "Minutes later Coach Salter with his quarterback by his side, Josh Nunes called back Coach Drevino and Coach Jim Harbaugh. Coach Harbaugh told Josh that Stanford University is going to offer the 6-foot-4, 205 pound Upland quarterback."

Nunes had the following to say about his latest offer.
"I liked the atmosphere and the coaching staff when I was at their camp last summer," Nunes said. "They upgraded their facilities and it looks great. Coach Harbaugh has the Cardinal heading in the right direction."
Nunes was co-League Offensive Player of the Year as a junior after he threw for 2,105, 14 touchdowns and only five interceptions in 216 attempts. He completed 124 of his passes hitting on 57.4 percent.
Stanford joins Colorado, Arizona and Hawai'i, as teams that have already offered Nunes a scholie.
UCLA, Cal, Oregon State, and Notre Dame have also shown early interest in Nunes.
