SoCal OL has the upside

Athletic big men are always on a premium especially ones whose best days on the gridiron are ahead of them. One such player is Matt Ross (6-5, 275, 5.1) from West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade.
"Matt is an excellent athlete who also plays volleyball," Chaminade coach Ben McEnroe said. "His athleticism makes him a intriguing prospect.

"Matt doesn't have a lot of football experience," McEnroe said. "He has only been playing football for a year and a half.
"Matt has great explosiveness, like I've stated he has a lot of athletic ability," McEnroe said. "The only question mark that he brings to the table is getting him to run and pass block on a more consistent basis.
"That's all Matt needs to be a highly recruited player is more consistency," McEnroe said. "When you look at the great offensive tackles they have great flexibility and Matt definitely has that.
"There aren't that many 6-foot5 guys who can fold up like a chair," McEnroe said. "Matt can, I mean he has incredible flexibility.
"We have about eight months to find out, but I think by the end of his senior season Matt is going to be highly recruited" McEnroe said. "It is early in the process right now, but if Matt lives up to his potential, he's going to have a lot of schools knocking at his door.
The scouting report on Ross is he's a hard worker who will put in the work necessary to get the most out of his ability. He will be one to watch as the recruiting season unfolds.
