SoCal OL has a busy itinerary

Offensive lineman Mark Clampitt (6-2, 250, 4.97) from West Torrance, Calif., is in his third season as starter on the offensive side of the ball and he is adding defensive tackle to his list of duties as a senior.
Clampitt first caught the attention of Rivals.com after two outstanding camp stints at UCLA and USC where he was one of the most technically sound offensive linemen at the camp.

It appears that Clampitt impressed at other camps, too.
"I attended a linemen competition at Santa Fe Springs, California, this past summer which was in July," Clampitt said. "I placed second out of 285 competitors and broke a five year standing record of 61 reps at 185 pound for power clean."
On the recruiting trail, Clampitt is still in search of his first offer. He is hearing from a lot of schools and will be going on some unofficial visits to schools that have been showing interest in him.
"I will be going to San Diego State tomorrow (Oct. 11th) to see Coach Holton who is currently recruiting me," Clampitt said. "I will see the Aztecs play Air Force."
"On October 25th, I plan to attend the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo game as Coach Payam Saadat has been calling me," Clampitt said. "On November 8th, I will be going to the UCLA/Oregon State game as Coach Todd Howard of UCLA and Coach Keith Heyward from Oregon State have been in touch with me.
"Also, I also have talking with Coach Tony White of the University of New Mexico and Coach Chris Kenakis from the University of Nevada at Reno," Clampitt said. "I have received no offers, but I'm receiving a lot of letters and have been receiving calls from the coaches above."
Clampitt earned his team's Offensive MVP as an offensive lineman on a football team that had a back who signed with USC last February his junior season. He also earned first-team all-league and first-team all-area.
