SoCal linebacker has co-leaders

In what is looking like a strong year for linebackers in the West region this year, one of the best we've seen is Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure's Dwight Roberson. The 6-0, 210 pound 'backer is sitting on three scholarship offers right now and two schools tied at the top of his board.
Roberson was a 1st team all-state underclass selection last year after totaling 178 tackles, two sacks and two interceptions. He's a very athletic player who clocked a 4.65 in the 40, 4.19 in the shuttle, jumped 29 inches in the vertical and did 21 reps on the bench at the SoCal Nike camp. Although he holds a trio of scholarship offers, Roberson is one of the most under-recruited players in the state right now and in our eyes, should be one of those players with double figure offers.

"So far, I've gotten calls from Oregon State, Washington State, UNLV and Boston College," Roberson said. "I have offers from Oregon State, Boston College and Colorado State and if I had to name a leader right now, it would be too close to call between Oregon State and Boston College.
"Both have been recruiting me very hard and I'm definitely going to take official visits to both schools. I'm in the process of setting a visit to BC for (Oct 7), we have a bye that weekend and I'll hopefully set up the visit to Oregon State sometime during the season as well. That October 7 weekend is our only bye this season so I may have to do a Saturday-Monday visit since all of our games are on Friday's this year.
"I don't plan on waiting until Signing Day to make my decision but I'm not in any hurry right now either. I want to take at least three of my visits and I should be ready to decide sometime towards the end of our season."
