SoCal LB seeks three-peat

Linebacker Corey Drennen (6-2, 205, 4.6) from Fontana (Calif.) Kaiser was one of the reasons that Kaiser high school was able to defend their CIF title in 2003.
Drennen recently participated at the adidas camp that was held at UCLA last month and on a slow track ran a 4.85. He is really known for his overall quickness to the ball. Drennen has a keen awareness of angles and because of that he plays fast.

Drennen also known for his toughness and hard hitting ability. He was selected first-team all-league as a junior after racking up 118 tackle, five sacks, five fumble recoveries and two broken up passes.
Drennen has heard UCLA, LSU, Notre Dame, Kansas State, BYU, Oklahoma, Washington, ASU, Harvard, Dartmouth and Portland State just to name a few.
Drennen will take into consideration the college’s reputation, atmosphere, tradition and the quality of education when selecting a school.
Drennen’s lower body strength is very impressive, he squats 650 pounds. He needs to work some on his upper body and is currently doing just that.
Drennen has the leadership qualities that all successful teams. He has already been selected Kaiser’s team captain on defense for the season of 2004.
If Kaiser does indeed three-peat and the CIF section championship it will because Drennen played up to his potential and helped lead the way.
