SoCal LB gets first offer

Linebacker/running back Quentin Greenlaw (6-0, 215, 4.58) from Oxnard (Calif.) Rio Mesa recently received his first offer and there could be another offer from a Pac 10 school in the imminent future.
"Quentin received his first offer from Ole Miss about two weeks ago," Rio Mesa coach Bob Gregorchuk said. "Washington State was on our campus yesterday (May 2nd) and they told me they are going to offer.

"The Washington State coach told me they just have to sit down and watch Quentin's game film with the head coach."
Other schools that have come by the school and are showing interest in Greenlaw are Army and Boise State. Utah and Utah State have called Gregorchuk to tell him they will be by the school very soon.
Ole Miss is also scheduled to be on campus in the next week.
Greenlaw has been busy participating in track and he recently set a new league record in the 200 with a time of 21.8.
Greenlaw is a very versatile athlete who has the ability to play fullback on the D-I level, but most of his recruiting action is for his talents as a linebacker.
In an earlier interview with Gregorchuk he had the following to say about his very skilled athlete.
"What jumps out at you when watching his tape is Quentin has the ability to run people from behind. He is incredibly explosive and has a nose for the football.
Greenlaw racked up 89 tackles, three sacks and one blocked kick as a junior.
"Quentin is a great character guy who is excellent in the classroom," Gregorchuk said. "He is already qualified as he passed his state exam and carries 3.0 GPA.
"What is even more impressive is he takes honors courses in addition to playing football and track," Gregorchuk said. "He's special.
"Quentin is a leads by example type guy," Gregorchuk said. "He's not very vocal, he just goes out and gets the job done, on and off the field.
