SoCal LB beginning to heat up

One of the best kept secrets this recruiting season is Los Angeles (Calif.) Venice linebacker/fullback Raymond Gordon (6-0, 230, 4.65). Rivals.com saw Gordon up close when he and his Venice teammates hooked up with Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey in the City semifinal game.
Though Dorsey ended up prevailing over Venice that night, but Gordon sure stood out that night as he racked up 12 tackles and seemed to be everywhere on the field making play after play. He was also a very impressive hitter.

When you see a performance like that in a big game it is always an eye opener. Apparently eyes are opening among colleges too.
"Recruiting was going slow, but it is starting to pick up now," Gordon said. "Miami of Ohio, Washington State, and Villanova are beginning to show interest. All of those colleges have come by my school and talked to me.
"I'm trying to work out a visit with Washington State," Gordon said. "At this time I just don't when we will work it out."
Gordon earned all-league honors as a senior after racking up 79 tackles, two sacks and one quarterback hurry.
Now that Gordon's senior tape is hitting colleges, look for him to garner more interest.
