SoCal kicker getting national exposure

Junior to Watch: Jordan Kay
School: Palos Verdes (Calif.) Peninsula

Position: Place-kicker/Athlete
Size and Speed: Kay stands 6-foot-0 weighs in at 180 pounds and runs the forty in 4.5. Kay also has good strength with a 265 pound bench.
Honors: Kay was selected first team all-league kicker as a junior.
Statistics: Kay hit on 34 of 35 PAT’s and the lone miss was blocked. He also was 6 for 7 on field goals. He hit kicks of 31, 32, 41, 42, 44 and 45 yards. He kicked most of his kickoffs into the end zone with a four-to-five second hang time.
Favorite Colleges: Kay is getting correspondence from Cal, UCLA, Washington, USC, Stanford, Nebraska, Michigan State, Ohio State and San Jose State.
Skinny: Not only is Kay an outstanding place-kicker but he also starts as a cornerback for Peninsula. He also plays some running back and wide receiver.
Kay is an outstanding all-around athlete who is the only three sport varsity athlete at Peninsula out of a student body of approximately 3,600 students.
Kay is also a standout in soccer and baseball.
Kay is a hard worker who is working hard on his kicking techniques with former Bruin place-kicker Chris Sailor. He also attended Pelfrey summer camp at UCLA and was awarded first in the kickoff competition and first in the field goal distance competition.
You have to love Kay’s work ethic; he also attended Ray Guy’s kicking camp. Once again Kay proved that he has a powerful leg coming in second out 50-plus kickers in the field goal distance competition. Kay booted a 55-yarder.
Besides having powerful leg, Kay is a clutch performer who is even better under pressure.
Kay’s poise is an excellent attribute for a kicker. Kay is definitely among the Golden State’s best place-kickers.
