SoCal Junior Has Oregon Ties

A running back we're looking forward to seeing a lot of next year is Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey's Jeremiah Johnson . Johnson, 5-9, 190 pounds was an All-City selection this past season and could be one of the elite prospects at his position next year.
Johnson led one of the state's top teams last year with 1,205 yards rushing and 18 touchdowns despite sharing tailback duties with sophomore sensation Stafon Johnson, no relation. The All-City athlete has good quickness and shakes and can really turn the corner. Johnson clocked a 4.11 in the shuttle at the SoCal Nike Camp last year and is the type of back who is more quick than fast but has a good burst and also has plus balance and vision.

Johnson is the younger brother of former Dorsey athlete Jerome Johnson who re-signed with the Ducks this past Wednesday. As you would expect, the Ducks are high on Johnson's list along with several other Pac 10 schools.
"I like Oregon, Washington, UCLA, USC and Arizona," Johnson told us at the CaliFlorida Junior Day we put on earlier in the month. "I'm hearing from all the Pac 10 schools along with Boston College right now. I'm looking for a school that is strong athletically and academically and a place that will benefit me the most down the line."
