SoCal Is Home to Elite FB Prospect

There will be a couple of very talented fullback prospects in the West region next year and one player we really like is Orange Lutheran's (Calif.) Pat Roxas. At 6-1, 240 pounds, Roxas is a load to bring down, a great blocker and should have his pick of schools out West next year.
If anyone watched Orange Lutheran play this past season, they couldn't help notice the talent and sheer size of the Lancers mammoth fullback. Roxas is one of those players who will never go down on the first or even second contact and opposing defenders typically bounce off him like a bowling pin. He's also a tremendous blocker and doubled as the Lancers starting defensive tackle. He earned 3rd team All-State Underclass honors this past season after rushing for 354 yards and seven touchdowns.

Orange Lutheran had a loaded team this past season making it all the way to the Div IV CIF Championship game before losing a heartbreaker to Hacienda Hts. (Calif.) Los Altos. The Lancers should be equally talented next year and could have as many as five solid Div I prospects with Roxas looking like one of the top three fullback prospects in the state heading in to the spring evaluation period.
"Pat has been wanting to go to USC since he was in grade school and he was thrilled to know that Coach (Pete) Carroll was at the La Mirada game (2nd round playoff game) to scout him," Ramon Roxas, Pat's father said. "Pat is looking to go to a school that really utilizes the fullback so we're going to watch a lot of games on T.V next year and pay special attention to that. Pat likes the warm weather and would love to stay out West. In addition to USC, he's also looking at UCLA, Cal, Hawaii and Oregon."
