SoCal DT to wait until season finishes
Three-star defensive tackle Kirifi Taula (6-3, 269, 4.7) from Anaheim (Calif.) Servite blew up early in the season with dominating performances against some of the state's best programs. His stock skyrocketed and received a lot of recruiting attention, while helping his team to a 9-1 record.
Taula has offers from the likes of Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon State, UCLA, Washington, New Mexico, San Diego State, Utah, San Jose State, Wake Forest, Utah and Nebraska.

Servite was able to press on even though their dominating defensive tackle broke his arm in week seven and has been out of action. Up to that point, Taula was having a season to remember. He hopes to be back in the fray for the second round of the playoffs.
It will be important for Servite's success in the playoffs to get Taula back on the field. He provides outstanding up field push from the inside and there's nothing quite more destructive to an offense than inside pressure and Taula certainly provides that.
In less than seven total games, Taula has recorded eight sacks and good number tackles for loss. He has been keeping in shape by lifting weights and riding the bike.
Look for Taula's recruitment to heat up after his season.
"I haven't taken any visits yet," Taula said. "I'm waiting until after the season to take all of my visits and start narrowing my colleges and stuff.
"I'm definitely going to visit Washington, Oregon State, and I'm thinking about going to Arizona and Nebraska," Taula said. "I think with UCLA because it is so close, I'll take an unofficial visit there.
"I don't know the real difference between an official and an unofficial visit," Taula said. "I'm going to talk to my coaches about that. I don't really want to waste a visit to one there I can just drive to.
"I will probably make my decision shortly before signing day," Taula said. "Definitely not in the season, somewhere between January and February."
