SoCal DL is WAC bound

Los Alamitos (Calif.) annually sends a handful of players to Div I programs every year and this year will be no exception. The first Griffin to make his college choice is defensive end Ken Borg who is headed to the WAC.
Borg, a 6-2, 235 pound defensive lineman had a very good season and drew raves all season long from Griffin defensive coordinator Barry Sherr.

"Kenny had a fantastic year for us," Sherr said. "He's a pure pass rusher and one of the best we've had here. He plays with great technique and has all the moves. He can go inside or outside and has the ability to speed rush you or take an inside route.
"Fresno State offered him about a month ago and he took his official visit this past weekend. They really liked Kenny because they said they were looking for someone who can get up the field and rush the passer and that's what Kenny does best. He's also a great kid, a high character kid and I know that was important to them as well."
Borg finished the year with 57 tackles and 10 sacks and will likely earn both all-league and all-country honors. In addition to the Bulldogs, Borg also held offers from Nevada, UC Davis, Colorado State and Utah State.
