SoCal DB ranks with the nations best

Safety Darian Hagan, Jr. (6-0, 180, 4.4) from Los Angeles (Calif.) Crenshaw is one of the best players in Southern California and the Nation. This young man already has offers from the entire Pac-10 except Stanford.
Before it is all said and done Hagan could be the type of athlete who could have close to 50 offers or more.

Hagan had a dream season as a junior when he led the Golden State in interceptions with 13. He was also a standout on special teams blocking four punts. The athletic Hagan scooped up two of his blocked punts and returned them for touchdowns. He also racked up 70 tackles in 2004.
For his junior season performance Hagan earned all-state, all-county, all-area, all-city and all-league honors.
"Darian is a very smart football player," Crenshaw coach Eric Scott said. "He has a high football IQ."
"Darian's decision making is impeccable," Scott said. "For an example if there is an opportunity to tattoo a receiver or pick the ball off, Darian will make the interception."
"Darian is one of those guys who are very easy to coach," Scott said. "He picks up things easily and applies what he's learned."
Hagan has outstanding bloodlines; his Dad is Darian Hagan who quarterbacked Colorado to a national championship in the early 90's. Hagan is now on the CU staff.
Does that mean Hagan is a lock for the Buffaloes?
Though Hagan is very close to his Dad it doesn't mean it is a deal clincher. He is also very close to his Mom and she will also be a consideration. Colorado though will be in the hunt the whole way.
UCLA looks to be another school that should be in the battle to the end. Something to consider is Hagan knows a lot of UCLA coaches due to his father and three of his high school teammates will be playing in Westwood next fall.
Cal could be another player in the Hagan sweepstakes as Crenshaw has sent several players to the Bears over the years and Cal has always been among Hagan's favorite schools.
You can never count the national champions USC. The Trojans just offered Hagan in writing three days ago and with they recruit the Trojans could also be a consideration.
Like all players who get the attention that Hagan is getting you never know how his recruitment will play out.
