SoCal DB on the road

One of the fastest rising prospects on the west coast is safety/cornerback Vaughn Telemaque (6-2, 190, 4.6) from Long Beach (Calif.) Poly. He has three offers on the table and a possible fourth as early as tomorrow (August 7th) by one of the fastest rising programs in the nation.
The three offers that Telemaque has are from North Carolina, Oregon and Michigan.

"I don't know much about North Carolina except that Butch Davis in their new head coach and that gets my interest up," Telemaque said. "Traveling far from home won't matter to me because I have family all over the place. I have an aunt who lives in North Carolina.
"I'm in Brooklyn, New York, right now," Telemaque said. "I'll be taking an unofficial visit to Rutgers on Tuesday (August 7th).
"The Rutgers coaching staff wants to introduce me to some of their players, show me around campus and have me take in a practice. I think I'll get an offer from Rutgers on Tuesday.
"My visit to Rutgers could be my last unofficial visit," Telemaque said. "I may try to take an unofficial visit to Michigan, but that would be a last second thing if I do.
"The reason I like Michigan is they are a well known school for turning out defensive backs," Telemaque said. "Also (former Lone Beach-Poly five-star defensive back) Donovan Warren will be going there.
"I've been into Oregon since the 10th grade," Telemaque said. "Jurrell Casey's older was the one to introduce me to Oregon and also (former Long Beach-Poly defensive end) Kenny Rowe will be an incoming freshman there.
"I really don't have a favorite right now. I'm really into all the schools that have offered me.
"I want to make a list of five schools that I want to visit by the end of August," Telemaque said. "I'm not sure if I I'll commit before the season, during the season or after the season, but I am looking forward to making that list.
"I'm mostly being recruited as a safety, but some schools are looking at as a corner or an athlete. I will be playing some wide receiver.
"I'm really looking forward to my senior season," Telemaque said. "We have everybody coming back on the offensive and defensive lines.
"We are going to have some big names filling in some big spots," Telemaque said. "We have a great quarterback (Morgan Fennell) and a lot of other great players. I think we have a great all-around and dynamic team.
