SoCal DB heating up

Cornerback Semaj Harris (5-10, 185, 4.5) from Lawndale (Calif.) Leuzinger has really picked up his game as a senior and by doing so he is beginning to attract serious recruiting attention in addition to his one offer.
Harris is one of the reasons that Leuzinger has bounced back from a disappointing opening game loss to Santa Monica, Calif., to win three straight.

On the season, Harris has 18 tackles, three pass deflects and one pick. He has also helped his team on special teams and has been outstanding as a kick returner, returning two kicks to the house for touchdowns.
Harris has an offer from San Diego State and is getting serious recruiting attention from Oregon State, UCLA, Washington State, Fresno State and New Mexico.
"Everyone wants to see more senior film on Semaj," Leuzinger recruiting coordinator Ralph Oliver said. "After they do they are going to make their decision to offer him."
"Oregon State, Washington State and UCLA were at our game on Friday Night to watch Semaj," Oliver said. "Everyone seemed pleased with his performance and his leadership out there. Semaj displayed a lot poise of poise and the coaches liked that about him."
"Semaj is having a fine senior season," Oliver said. "So much so, that teams are avoiding him."
"In one recent game, we switched Semaj from his regular spot at left corner to right, because the other team wouldn't throw to his side of the field," Oliver said. "After the switch, the team started throwing to whatever side, Semaj wasn't on."
"Semaj is in the same mode as two recent Leuzinger corners that are currently playing D-I ball," Oliver said. "He has the same stuff that Chris Williams who plays at Utah State and Deshawn Mills at New Mexico."
"I'm sure that Semaj will be joining them playing football on the D-I level."
