SoCal corner lands first offer

The Lawndale (Calif.) Leuzinger campus has been a busy place lately. Hot on the heels of safety Dijon Washington's two most recent offers from Nebraska and San Diego State, his teammate, cornerback Semaj Harris (5-8, 160, 4.5) also received his first offer.
"Semaj picked up his first offer from Coach Larry Holton from San Diego State," Leuzinger coach in charge of recruiting Ralph Oliver said. "He is pleased about landing his first offer. Now he is hoping that it opens the floodgates for more offers, but he is very impressed with San Diego State."

"Semaj has been impressed with how San Diego State has been recruiting him and how they have been upfront about the whole recruiting process," Oliver said. "He loves the area and he loved the campus when he was there for an unofficial visit."
"New Mexico has also been showing Semaj a lot interest and until the San Diego State offer they were further along in the recruiting process with him," Oliver said. "UNLV is also very much in the picture and UCLA defensive line coach Todd Howard has also been in contact."
Harris earned first-team all-league and second-team all-area from his cornerback spot after racking up 63 tackles, nine tackles for loss, six pass deflections, four forced fumbles, three interceptions, two fumble recoveries, and two sacks. As a wide receiver, Harris had 16 receptions for 202 yards and two touchdowns.
Harris is planning to take in the Nike Camp held in Los Angeles in April.
The scouting report on Harris is he's very physical and packs a powerful punch as a hitter. He also participates in track and runs the 100-m in 10.8.
