SoCal athlete racks up offers

Though Ricky Elmore (6-5, 237, 4.65) from Simi Valley (Calif.) Grace Brethren is predominantly being recruited as a defensive end this talented all-around athlete has played a several different positions during his high school career.
"I have colleges talking to me about four or five different positions," Elmore said. "I get most of my recruiting attention as a defensive end, but some schools are talking to me as a quarterback, tight end, wide receiver and outside linebacker."

Elmore has offers on the table from Arizona, Oregon State, Washington, Wyoming, Utah and Kansas State.
Oregon, Washington State, USC, Arkansas and Colorado are also taking a long look at the talented athlete from Simi Valley. Oregon and Washington State could be on the verge of tendering an offer.
From his quarterback position Elmore threw for 537 yards and six touchdowns. As a receiver he collected 23 receptions for 384 yards and five touchdowns as a junior.
On defense playing both defensive end and linebacker, Elmore racked up 69 tackles and 17 sacks. As a sophomore when he played defensive end full time Elmore accounted for 25 sacks.
With sack production like Elmore's it is easy to understand why most schools are recruiting him as a defensive end.
Elmore is so athletic that he has played at one specific since his sophomore year when he played on the edge with his hand down.
Elmore has also been very impressive on the camp circuit. He was number among defensive ends with a 4.31 shuttle time at the NIKE Camp held in Palo Alto. It bears repeating that there were over 500 campers that day in Northern California.
Elmore even bettered that performance in front of Mike Stoops with the pressure on at Arizona's camp with shuttle times of 4.11 and 4.08.
At another camp Elmore benched 185-pounds, 38 times. He also has recorded a 33 ½ vertical jump. His current max bench is 360-pounds and squats 535.
Does Elmore have a favorite school?
"I am very open regarding college choice," Elmore said. "I don't care where the college is it could be across the country as long as I'm comfortable at the school."
"Before narrowing things down any I'm going to wait until September when coaches can talk to me again," Elmore said. "I want to see who really has the most interest in me."
