SoCal ATH names leader

Culver City (Calif.) has as much talent at the skill positions as just about any school in the state not named Oaks Christian. One player we really liked during summer passing league was two way standout Tyrone Justin and the athlete has one school clear out in front at this time.
Justin, 5-10, 160 pounds was one of the best cover corners we saw over the summer and he has looked very good at receiver this year as well. Justin is one of those players who is always around the ball. In a week one win for the Centaurs, Justin returned two fumbles for touchdowns, one for 46 yards and the other for 20 after a blocked punt.

The following week, Justin caught four balls for 105 yards and a touchdown and added two interceptions on defense.
"We're 3-0 right now and playing very well," Justin said. "We have a lot of team speed and I think we have a chance for a special season. I'm playing both ways and that's how I'm being recruited as well. Idaho State, who has offered, like me for receiver but everyone else is saying athlete and I really don't have a preference, I'll play whatever gets me on the field the fastest."
Along with Idaho State, Justin has an offer from Nevada and received calls this month from Cal, UNLV and Washington State.
"I also got a letter from Oregon State saying they want to offer me an official visit and said they would be calling to set that up," Justin said. "Right now, Cal is my top school, I like them a lot. I definitely want to take all five of my trips and Cal is one school that I'm looking forward to visiting.
"I also want to visit Washington State and Oregon State and after that, I'm just open. I'll take all my trips after the season because I don't want any distractions during the season."
In addition to football, Justin also competes in track running the 100m, 200m, 4X100 and 4X400 relay.
"I ran a 10.9 last year and I'm shooting for a 10.7 this year," Justin said. "I know it's tough to shave off two tenths of a second but I know I'm a lot faster and stronger this year so that's what I'm shooting for."
