So much happening for Costello

So much has been happening for K.J. Costello that it's sometimes difficult to keep track. Even for him.
The 2016 quarterback from Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Santa Margarita Catholic had Notre Dame, Michigan and Arizona State stop by spring workouts last week and more offers could definitely be on the way.

So far, the RCS Northern California quarterback MVP has been offered by Cal, Florida State, Miami, Tennessee and Virginia.
"Notre Dame came by (Friday)," Costello said. "(Coach Matt LaFleur) has been trying to come out to a practice for a long time and he finally came out so that was nice.
"We've been talking on the phone for a couple weeks. He headed back this weekend and he's supposed to give me a call mid-week and we'll figure things out. He wants to sit down with coach (Brian) Kelly again and see where they're at, discuss the next steps. That was nice."
Costello seems to get along well with Arizona State assistant Mike Norvell and that could be important if an offer is close. Michigan was already out once and offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Doug Nussmeier is expected to see Costello in person soon.
All three offers could be big for Costello, who has a busy summer scheduled.
"ASU came out this week," Costello said. "Coach Norvell is a great guy. We've had some good conversations and I really like him a lot, I like the style. He really thinks I fit the offense well.
"Coach Nussmeier is coming out in two Tuesdays and that will be big for me. We've been talking for a while and he said before he makes a move on 2016 he wants to lock in that 2015 quarterback. They just locked him in so he's all fired up and I am, too. That should be a good day for me."
That's not the only new interest for the 2016 standout. USC is also poking around and Costello said coach Clay Helton is supposed to sit down with Steve Sarkisian soon to review film. An offer from the Trojans would be another major step in Costello's recruitment.
"I've been talking to coach Helton, too, at USC," Costello said.
"He came out and watched us work out a couple weeks ago. He's been all over the map recruiting-wise and he's planning on sitting down with Sarkisian and showing him the film from our workout. From there, we'll see where that goes."
Florida State, Georgia, Arizona, Texas A&M, Fresno State and others also stopped by Santa Margarita last week.
This summer Costello is expected to travel with his Body By Tra 7on7 team to Florida for the IMG tournament. During that trip, the 2016 quarterback is expected to visit Tennessee, Michigan, possibly Alabama along with Florida and Florida State.
Costello said the Gators have shown more interest in the last few weeks.
