Snyder names three frontrunners

Matt Snyder took his second visit to Oregon State recently returning from his official trip and the Beavers are definitely one of the frontrunners in his recruitment.
The three-star tight end from San Ramon (Calif.) California said he loves the Oregon State coaching staff and wanted to see the game-day experience so he could compare it to other upcoming visits and then he should be ready to make a decision.

"I was up there once in the summer but we wanted to get back up there on a game weekend to really experience what it would be like," Snyder said. "All the coaches were great. All the people we met were really nice and it's a pretty cool atmosphere up there on Saturdays.
"I've been up there twice so I don't know how much more there is to see. We pretty much checked out the whole town and everything. I love it a lot up there. I just have to take my other two officials just to make sure I see what each college has to offer. When I make my decision I want to make sure it's the right place for me."
The 6-foot-5, 245-pound prospect plans to visit Nevada in early October and then head to Cal for its matchup against UCLA later that month.
After his trip to Berkeley, Snyder said he should be prepared to make his commitment. Those three schools are the clear frontrunners.
"After that visit, I plan to commit at the end of October," Snyder said.
"That's pretty much right now my three favorites. At the end of October after I take all those visits I'll figure out which one I really like the best. I plan to commit the weekend after the Berkeley visit."
