Snoop stays closer to home

After checking out many of the nation's top programs from coast to coast, the nation's No. 1 running back announced Friday that he was staying close to home. So what's the verdict for Lacey (Wash.) Timberline running back Jonathan Stewart after he announced his decision moments ago on Seattle's KING 5 News.
Although word had leaked of his decision as much as two days ago, Stewart, who has a nickname of Snoop, didn't finalize his decision until this morning, after sleeping on what he heard from coaches from both schools during meetings Thursday at Timberline High School.

Those meetings went well. But if you're a Duck fan those meetings went great, as Stewart announced that he was heading to Oregon.
"Coach Campbell is a really great coach and the players were all pretty cool," Stewart said. "The college size isn't too enormous and it is a great atmosphere."
Stewart visited Oregon, USC, Tennessee and Washington State. The final two on Stewart's list was Washington State and Oregon, but in the end the Ducks won what will be their biggest recruiting victory of the season.
So how insane has the past 48 hours been for Stewart? When asked the best way to reach him the last few days, Stewart said it was best to talk to him via AOL Instant Messenger.
"The phone wouldn't stop," Stewart said.
But if you're a Duck fan you're probably ready to pick the phone up and spread the word.
