Snelsons recruitment evolving

The spotlight on Dredrick Snelson has been in place for a while. His list of scholarship offers is long and his name has made the rounds in the recruiting offices of most major colleges. Still, there's something be said about picking up offers from Auburn and Alabama in back-to-back days, and Snelson doesn't try to hide his excitement.
"I know everything about that Auburn program," Snelson said on Wednesday. "I know everything. I like them."

His words about Alabama are just as to-the point. The fact that the four-star wide receiver is setting up a visit to Tuscaloosa might say more than anything coming from his mouth, though. He knows plenty about the Tide, but obviously wants to learn more.
"I think they have a junior day coming up sometime soon, and I'm going to go," Snelson said. "I really want to go up there."
Crimson Tide assistant Mario Cristobal made the offer to Snelson over the phone. And while Alabama is not squarely in the thick of the Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage High School junior's recruitment, other schools have built stronger relationships at the time being. Snelson names no favorites in the process but doesn't mind rattling off the schools that are recruiting him the hardest.
"It's probably Florida State, Florida and Auburn right now," Snelson said."
In addition to a likely visit to Alabama, Snelson says he plans to tour the campuses of Florida State, Florida and Georgia this offseason. He also says he will add a school or two to that itinerary as time passes.
Snelson's recruitment is evolving in a number of ways, but his checklist remains constant. He knows what he's looking for, and roughly a year before he'll sign a letter of intent, that's worth something.
"I'm looking for a family-orientated place. It has to be someplace I can see myself being happy. Education is first and foremost, and I want to feel the family vibe."
