Snelson maintains long list

Dredrick Snelson has backed off his Miami pledge but that might not be it for the Hurricanes.
The four-star wide receiver from Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage said at the Elite 50 Experience last week in Orlando he just made his decision prematurely and that Miami is by no means out of his recruitment.

"It wasn't hard at all," Snelson said of backing away from Miami. "I just felt like I did it too early and I wanted to give everybody a shot.
"I wouldn't count them out at all. It's not like I don't want to go there. I just made my decision too early."
Rated as the third-best wide receiver and the No. 24 prospect in the 2016 class by Rivals.com, Snelson said he also has legitimate interest in Georgia, LSU, Alabama, Florida and Florida State.
The Seminoles are particularly interesting because he is a teammate of FSU commit Tarvarus McFadden and Snelson said he would like to play with him in college.
"Him going there is a big factor in my decision of going there or going somewhere else," Snelson said. "I would love to play with him."
Florida has a new coach and is coming off another tough season but Snelson definitely wants to take a look at the Gators. With Georgia, playing with top-rated quarterback Jacob Eason would be a big bonus.
"They are rebuilding right now," Snelson said of Florida. "I know the quarterback, he can throw the ball and he can get it to me and they have a good offense. I'd like to look into it.
"(Eason) is a good quarterback. I looked up on him. He can throw the ball and they throw the ball to their receivers."
Two other SEC powers - LSU and Alabama - are also in the early mix. Both programs offer Snelson a lot and he's going to take a closer look.
"They spread the ball out a little bit," Snelson said of LSU. "I'd like to see them throw the ball a little bit more and use their receivers more.
"The best of the best are going to play (at Alabama). The two receivers they're going to run with, I'd like to be on the field and be one of those two receivers."
