SMU, UCF to battle

Once a Razorback, now a Pony or a Knight? That’s the thinking of Dayton, Texas offensive lineman Kharylake Martin. After Arkansas dropped him, other teams like SMU and UCF have stepped up big time on him.

“I was up at SMU this weekend,” Martin, who is a three-star 6-foot-6, 345-pound offensive tackle. “I thought the academic side of things is going to be tough to beat. I also like their stadium.”
Martin said he’s not ready to make a decision yet, but it’s likely to come between SMU and UCF, where he’s set to trip to next weekend. He’s also scheduled to visit Texas Tech on January 24 and A&M on January 31, but he’s not sure about those trips.
“Tech and A&M just got back in on me, but SMU and UCF have been on me since day one,” Martin said. “That goes back to even when I was committed to Arkansas. I’m going to probably pick between those two teams.”
Martin is ranked as the nation’s No. 66 offensive tackle.
