SMU snags a huge commitment

“I’m calling to let you know that I’ve changed my mind and I’m going to SMU instead of OSU,” Oklahoma City Millwood three-star linebacker Cory Muse said. “I just feel like this is a better decision and my family feels like it’s a better decision for me in every aspect – both for academics and for football.
“I called coach (Mike) Gundy today and told him that I was making the change. He wasn’t upset, but more like disappointed. But he said if it was a decision that I was happy with then he would just have to live with it.”
Muse, who is 6-foot-2 and 205 pounds, originally committed to OSU this summer. He then, however, took a few unofficial visits to SMU and continued to be recruited hard by SMU and Roark.
“Coach Roark wasn’t doing anything to put down OSU or tell me that it wasn’t the right place for me,” Muse, the No. 36 outside linebacker, said. “Heck, he’s an OSU grad, so he knows all the good things they have to offer. He just believed that SMU offered me a better situation and the longer I thought about it, the more I agreed.”
Muse said he’s now finished with the recruiting process and will visit SMU on January 10.
