SMU lands Texas TE
Marshall, Texas tight end Mario Walker took one official visit, and that was enough for him to know where he wants to go to school.
"I did visit SMU this past weekend," the 6-foot, 220-pound Walker said. "I had a great time. It was what I was expecting and I am committed to SMU now and am looking forward to playing there."

Walker also had offers from Kansas, North Texas, Arkansas Pine-Bluff and Tennessee State.
"I think Coach (Phil) Bennett has things going in the right direction there," he said. "It will be a good program to be part of. They are recruiting me as a tight end. That's what I play and they are recruiting me for that position. We'll see what all happens, but that is the plan right now."
