Smoke ready for decision

Virginia Beach (Va.) Bayside all-purpose back Taquan Mizzell, nicknamed "Smoke", has an exciting week ahead of him. After earning a prestigious fifth star on Monday, Mizzell will announce his college destination on Tuesday from among three finalists. Mizzell breaks down his choices.
"Tuesday at 2PM I announce," said the 5-foot-10, 183-pounder. "It starts at 2PM so I'm not sure exactly what time I will announce, but it's between my three finalists and I already know who it will be."
The nation's No. 1 all-purpose back and No. 20 player overall, Mizzell has narrowed his choices down to Virginia, West Virginia and North Carolina. He breaks down each for us.
"With Virginia, I have a great relationship with coach London and all the coaches there," he said. "The atmosphere there is also great and I like the pro-style offense and how they have used Perry Jones in the offense."
"With West Virginia, coach Roberts and coach Gillespie are really good people and I have a good relationship with them," he explained. "They say I can have a national impact like Tavon Austin there so I like that comparison."
"And with North Carolina, it was my visit there that got me really interested," he continued. "I really liked the staff and coach Fedora spent a lot of time with me. They want me in the same role as West Virginia as a running back and slot receiver."
Mizzell is ready for his announcement.
"I'm glad I'm getting it done and behind me," he said. "This way I can focus on my season and start recruiting a little bit for my new team."
