Smith says hes going to wait

For months now, Garden City, Kan., three-star receiver Brodrick Smith said he was going to make his decision around Dec. 1. He had even arranged to make his announcement live Monday on Rivals Radio. However, the 6-foot-3, 200-pounder said he's had a change of heart.
"I don't know if I'm ready to commit," Smith said.

"It's actually a lot bigger decision than I thought, and my family wanted to talk with me more about my decision. So I'm going to need a little more time to figure things out."
Smith said late last week that he was leaning heavily toward both Arizona and Minnesota. He did receive an in-home visit from Minnesota coach Tim Brewster but also talked highly of what the Wildcats had to offer.
But now Smith said he needs more time to figure things out.
"I just need to talk it over with my family more," he said. "This is a huge decision, and I want to be right. Everyone is back in it now."
Smith has scholarship offers from Arizona, Minnesota, Wyoming, Colorado State, Illinois and Kansas State. He said he's going to take an official visit to Illinois on Dec. 14 now.
