Smith, Morris take part in showcase
The Adidas Sound Mind Sound Body Football Academy has built a reputation over the years for being a showcase of top talent, as well as a preview of future stars.

Current Rivals250 prospects such as Steve Elmer and Jourdan Lewis made their first splashes at this camp last year, and return to this year's event on June 13-14 at Wayne State University in Detroit after racking up scholarship offers and pledging to BCS programs.
In fact, as many as seven Rivals250 prospects could partake in this year's event. Others expected include Fort Wayne (Ind.) Bishop Luers linebacker Jaylon Smith, Warren (Mich.) De La Salle quarterback Shane Morris, Detroit Cass Tech offensive lineman David Dawson and Peoria (Ill.) Manual offensive tackle Logan Tuley-Tillman.
The Adidas Sound Mind Sound Body Academy figures to attract more than 200 players this year. They will come from as far away as St. Louis, Minnesota and Buffalo, and will represent the classes of 2013, 2014 and even 2015.
Previewing early talent has become a staple of the camp since its inception, and this year's camp promises to feature a number of underclass prospects who have the potential to be Rivals250 prospects in future years.
Class of 2014 prospects such as defensive end Malik McDowell of Detroit Loyola, quarterback Chance Stewart of Sturgis, Mich., running back Jeff Jones of Minneapolis Washburn, running back Devine Redding Mineral Ridge, Ohio, along with athlete Damon Webb and linebacker Deon Drake of Detroit Cass Tech come into next week's event already boasting Division I offers.
In total, more than 30 prospects currently sporting BCS scholarship offers are expected to attend the Adidas SMSB Football Academy, including prospects already committed to Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Central Michigan.
With current Division I college coaches providing much of the instruction, the potential for prospects to add to their offer lists certainly exists. That is certainly the case for underclassmen. Prospects such as four-stars Jon Reschke and Shaquille Wiggins came into last year's camp with few or no offers, and ended up being heavily recruited.
Class of 2014 prospects waiting on their first offers to watch at this year's event include Fishers (Ind.) Hamilton athlete Jamitreus Crockham, Farmington Hills (Mich.) Harrison running back Lorenzo Collins, Grand Ledge, Mich., quarterback Jalen Brady and Kennesaw (Ga.) Harrison cornerback Christopher Murphy.

Even the class of 2015 is expected to be well represented by prospects who are already starting to make their names in college recruiting circles. Detroit Cass Tech quarterback Jayru Campbell led the Technicians to a state title while just a freshman last fall, and linebacker Jashon Cornell is expected to be the next big prospect out of Cretin-Derham Hall in St. Paul, Minn. Also keep in mind Oak Park, Mich., safety John Kelley, who has showed promise in camps earlier this spring.
