Smith likes gameday setting

Garden City, Kan., three-star receiver/athlete Brodrick Smith was one of about 70 recruits on hand this Saturday at the big rivalry game between Kansas State and Kansas. The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder said he had a great time while he was in Manhattan, and he got to meet a bunch of other high-profile recruits.
"I got to hook up with Bryce Brown and Chris Harper, and that was really fun hanging out with those guys," Smith, who is the No. 5 player in Kansas, said.

"The game was a really good game between two good teams. It was a lot of fun. I had a good time just being in that type of great gameday atmosphere.
"I'm still definitely high on K-State. They're up there. I'm going to be going up there again this week for the Colorado game. I know that's going to be another great game atmosphere."
Smith, though, is going to definitely go through the process.
He said he just set up his first official visit for Nov. 2. That's when he'll travel to Arizona for an official visit when the Wildcats host UCLA. He then will follow that up with a visit to Minnesota on Nov. 16 when the Gophers host rival Wisconsin.
Smith has scholarship offers from Kansas state, Wyoming and Colorado State. Oklahoma, SMU, Illinois and Kansas have also been recruiting him.
