Smith getting ready for Elite 11

Eugene Smith is a four-star prospect and a member of the Rivals250. Smith, 6-3 and 182 pounds, is from Miramar (Fla.) High School. He's one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks (No. 6) in the nation with a fantastic arm. Schools have taken notice, as Smith is sitting on close to three dozen scholarship offers at this time.
"It's good to have so many choices," Smith said. "I can't be in awe because there are so many things I have yet to do or accomplish."

Smith has had a busy summer of just practice and working out. He's getting ready for the prestigious Elite 11 quarterback camp in a few weeks.
"It's real exciting to be a part of that. Really, it's quite an honor for me."
As far as schools are concerned Smith is keeping things close to the vest. He has not taken any (unofficial) visits this summer and will likely wait until this fall.
"I think I know that I want to visit Michigan and Boston College. I know I like the University of South Florida. Really, I am open and like all the schools that are on me. I haven't seen much so it's hard to say.
"I think it will come down to a gut decision and everything will weight in like the coaching staff, tradition, scheme, and academics. I mean everything is important."
