Smith coming off trips to Indiana and Cincinnati

Pickerington (Ohio) Central safety Sebastian Smith picked up his first scholarship offer in the recruiting process from Indiana last month. He then went out and had a solid performance at the Ohio State NIKE Camp, followed by a camp appearance at Cincinnati.
"I went to the Cincinnati camp a couple days ago," Smith said. "They thought I did pretty good. They filmed everything we did, so they said they would get back with me."

Smith has some responsibilities with his high school team this summer and is not sure if he will participate in any more college camps. He did have the time to make his first visit out to Indiana two weeks ago, though.
"I really liked it, thought the coaches were real nice and felt like it was family-oriented there," Smith said of Indiana. "I thought the campus was really nice - it wasn't too big, it wasn't too small. I got a real good vibe there."
Several schools are showing interest in the 6-2, 170-pound Smith, but Indiana has vaulted to the top of his list by being the first school to offer.
"Right now they are leading because they are my only offer," Smith said. "It just depends on what other schools offer me, then we'll go from there and take some more trips."
Smith will put recruiting on the backburner for awhile and start preparing for his senior season. He does not expect a decision in the near future.
"I'm not in any rush. I'm still going to take it out for awhile," he said. "A lot of coaches have been talking to me, like Michigan State and West Virginia, so hopefully I will get more offers."
