Last weekend linebacker Toryan Smith out of Rome, Ga. took an official visit to South Bend. The 6-foot-0, 230-pounder with 4.65-second speed enjoyed the entire visit up to Notre Dame?
"It was a great place and a great atmosphere up there for a game, I had a real good time," he said. "I didn't think about committing at all on my visit last weekend as I'm still deciding between three schools, Notre Dame, Alabama and Florida.
"On my trip, I did get to talk to coach Weis for an hour and a few other coaches which I was impressed with. I came out of the visit realizing that it's a good situation there and I have a real chance to compete for early playing time. I also got to talk to my host Darius Walker. He's a good guy and a team leader."

The three-star prospect rated his trip to South Bend a perfect 10.
"I went in with high expectations and they met all of them, I had a blast," he said. "I still believe they are even with the other two schools. I'm planning to decide sometime in the first week of November, I don't know an exact date yet."
This week Smith is heading to Alabama for an unofficial visit as they host Tennessee.
