Smith adds more offers

SEFFNER, Fla. - Class of 2008 Rivals100 to watch running back Eric Smith of Armwood High has received more scholarship offers in recent weeks, including three from BCS Conference schools.
"I've gotten some more offers," Smith said. "Nebraska, UCF, Clemson and Auburn have offered me."

The Huskers, Golden Knights and both schools with Tiger mascots join Florida in offering the 5-foot-10, 239-pounder, who was a Rivals.com Junior All-American.
"Among the new offers, Clemson and Auburn stand out," Smith said. "I may attend the Clemson spring game."
Chris Rumph is recruiting Smith for Clemson. Greg Knox for Auburn. Phil Elmassian recruits the Tampa area for Nebraska and is leading the charge for the Cornhuskers.
Smith grew up following Florida State, but hasn't heard much from the Seminoles yet.
"I get mail from them, but no offers or anything," he said. "I haven't gotten anything telling me to come up there and visit or anything like that."
Smith gained only 525 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2006 because he was limited to four games because of injury. His sophomore season, he topped the 1,600 yard mark and scored 25 touchdowns.
