Small-schol star sets D-I visit
Tom Bean, Texas, two-star athlete Buddy Hanson ripped through opposing defenses this season on his way to repeat Texas Class 2A honors.
Now the question mark is whether or not he’ll get a chance to do that at the Division I level.

“He’s going to visit Southeastern Oklahoma next weekend and then North Texas the weekend after that,” Tom Bean coach Chad Worrell said. “North Texas said he’s on the bubble for a scholarship.”
What is the reason for that?
“Well, I think maybe his size might be hurting him,” Worrell said about the 5-foot-8, 180-pound athlete. “But North Texas thinks he could be an athlete like Patrick Cobbs. He’s about the same size and the same type of runner.”
