Slocum schedules two more officials

Rivals250 running back Tracy Slocum out of Clovis (Calif.) East already took his first official visit to Arizona State. The 5-foot-10, 195-pounder has settled on three other schools for officials and has scheduled two of them.
"I plan to take officials in December to UCLA, California and Fresno State," he said. "I'm going to California on December 2nd and UCLA on December 16th. I'm not sure about Fresno yet. UCLA still hasn't offered as I think they are waiting for my SAT scores to come back and then they will.

"I like Fresno because that's where I live. They are a really good program as you can tell by the way they played USC in a really close game. I also know that they are losing all their running backs after this season so it's wide open for me to come in.
"UCLA and Cal are both great programs in the Pac-10 with good academics and great coaches. They are always up there in the rankings and I'd love to go to either of them."
Slocum is still debating between schools for his fifth official which includes Washington, Oregon and new teams South Carolina and Alabama.
"I've been hearing from those two SEC schools recently as my head coach got a few calls from them," he said. "They are both good programs and distance isn't much of a factor for me. I'm going to go wherever I'm most comfortable at and get along with the players."
Clovis is 9-1 on the year heading into the playoffs this week.
"If everything goes as planned hopefully we'll come out with a championship ring," he said. "Usually I'm the one carrying this team, but I'm not playing this week because of a chipped fibula which is healing. Ever since I went down earlier in the year our team has stepped up in every aspect of the game and been rolling. The whole team is taking care of business and doing what they have to, to survive.
"My injury should only keep me down for a couple more weeks. I've been playing through the injury for much of the season, but our coaches think I should stay off of it this week. I'm hoping I can come back and finish the season strong."
In the first four games of the season, Slocum rushed for 800 yards and eight touchdowns.
