Slocum down to two, sets decision date

The No. 1 offensive guard in the country has cancelled his remaining official visits and has set a date for his decision. So what two schools are in a final battle for Philadelphia (Pa.) West Catholic star Marques Slocum?
"It's down to Michigan and Michigan State," said West Catholic head coach Brian Fluck. "Marques cancelled his visits with Maryland, LSU and North Carolina. He's just going to take it easy for a little bit and decide after the U.S. Army All American Game."

Slocum, who visited both of his favorites, has a date in mind for his decision.
"It will be Jan. 19 at school, we'll do a press conference," said Fluck. "Right now both schools are equal I would say because it goes back and forth. One day he likes Michigan better, the next day it's Michigan State. He'll have a tough time with it."
Slocum is the No. 36 player in the country and was No. 4 on the Rivals.com pre-season Pennsylvania list. He has already been visited by coach Carr and coach Smith from Michigan and MSU respectively.
"Now it's just time to think and compare," said Fluck. "He has plenty of time to make his choice."
