Sleeper WR making noise

Another player from Redlands (Calif.) East Valley to keep your eye on is wide receiver Isaiah Burrel (6-3, 180, 4.53). He is a sleeper prospect who is really coming on as a senior and has the ability to help a team in a variety of ways.
Burrel has shown big play capabilities this season as he has hauled in 43 receptions for 808 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Burrel can help a team returning punts and kicks. He has returned five punts for 69 yards with an average of 13.8 per punt return. He has returned 10 kickoffs for 294 yards with an average of 29.4 yards per kick. His long kick return was for 91 yards and a touchdown.
On defense as a defensive back, Burrel has 13 tackles and three interceptions.
The schools that have offered Burrel are interesting indeed. He has offers from Nevada and Colorado State. He may also have an offer from Wyoming but East Valley coach Kurt Bruich thought the Cowboys offered but positively sure.
Nevada, Colorado State and Wyoming have excellent reputations for finding outstanding players who fly under the radar.
Burrell will be taking his first visit to UTEP this weekend (Nov. 18). He also has visit set to Nevada on December 3rd.
Wyoming has been trying to set up a visit but they have been missing each other. Getting a date for a Wyoming visit is just a matter of time.
Colorado State is also getting a visit but the date hasn't been set.
Burrel has the size and speed that D-I schools like in a wide receiver prospect.
"The best thing that Isaiah does is run great routes," Bruich said. "Teams try to double him, but they can't. He's mastered the double move."
"Isaiah is fearless as a receiver," Bruich said. "He will catch the ball in traffic."
"Isaiah has excellent hands," Bruich said. "He's also an outstanding runner after he makes the catch."
Burrel could be one of those guys who may heat up on the recruiting trail late. The word is just getting out there on him and with a strong run in the playoffs, colleges will be able to see him in person.
