Sleeper WR looking forward to season

Sleeper wide receiver Deon Toliver (6-3, 175, 4.6) from Long Beach (Calif.) Cabrillo will be one to watch this fall. Toliver was the third wide receiver playing behind two seniors in 2003. He is now on many Pac-10 recruiting lists after strong showings at camps this spring.
The scouting report on Toliver he’s a very smart wide receiver who finds the open spots on the defense when running routes. He is also a hard worker who diligently working on his already fine routes.

Another thing that scouts like about Toliver is he has the size and the quickness that D-I schools covet in a modern wide receiver prospect.
As the third wide receiver on the team, Toliver caught nine passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns while averaging 13.4 yards per catch.
Toliver benches 225 and recorded a 28-inch vertical at the NIKE Camp held in San Diego. He recorded a 30-inch vertical at the Fresno State skills camp.
The colleges have started to take notice. Some of the schools are Arizona, UCLA, USC, Washington, Fresno State and UTEP.
Toliver also camped at USC and enjoyed himself at the camp. “I think I did well,” Toliver said. “It was a good camp.”
If Toliver lives up to his potential in 2004 you will see his stock soar and he will see his status change from sleeper to prospect.
