Sleeper WR has D-1 offer

Belle Glade (Fla.) Glades Central wide receiver/cornerback Alric Arnett is a name that few in recruiting circles have heard about, but he has picked up his first Division I offer and more and more schools are beginning to find out about him.
“I have an offer from Florida International,” Arnett said. “Florida Atlantic, Toledo, Southern Illinois, Louisiana-Lafayette and Florida have all been recruiting me and calling and keeping up with me. I haven’t heard too much from Florida since they let coach Zook go though.”

The 6-foot-1, 155-pound Arnett attended the NIKE camp in Miami where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.72 seconds, had a 4.44 second shuttle and 26-inch vertical jump.
“Right now I would say that Michigan State, Toledo, Florida, Louisiana-Lafayette, Florida International and Tennessee are my favorites,” Arnett said. “I’m looking for a school that runs an offensive scheme that I like. I will look and see how I fit in the offense of a school.”
Arnett also runs track where he made first team all-county. He projects as a full qualifier with a 2.25 GPA and a 17 ACT.
