Sleeper to set visits

Sleeper defensive back/wide receiver John Whitt (6-1, 200, 4.6) from San Pedro, Calif., is beginning to get legitimate looks from two D-I schools.
Whitt was outstanding in 2003 on both sides of the ball.

On offense, Whitt caught 34 passes for 653 yards and five touchdowns.
On the defensive side of the ball Whitt had 70 tackles, three tackles for loss, one fumble caused and one interception as a free safety.
The two schools that are showing interest in Whitt are Oregon and San Jose State.
“I’m talking to Oregon and San Jose State,” Whitt said. “I will visit both schools, but we haven’t set the dates yet.”
In an earlier interview with Rivals.com San Pedro head coach Mike Walsh had this say about his talented athlete, “John is very physical football player and is very aggressive on both sides of the ball. He will mix it up.”
“On offense John shows no fear when making a catch,” Walsh said. “On defense he is a very good tackler who will wrap up.”
