Sleeper star is on the rise gets offer

Junior to Watch: Jaison Williams
School: Culver City, Calif.

Position: Wide Receiver.
Size and Speed: Williams stands 6-foot-4, weighs in at 215 and runs the forty in 4.5. Williams ran a legit 10.8 100-meter as a sophomore.
Honors: Williams played out of position as a tight end his junior season so he didn’t get any honors. Look that to change in 2003.
Statistics: Williams caught 18 passes for 229 yards and one touchdown as a junior.
Favorite Colleges: Williams has already received an offer from West Virginia. UCLA, USC, Cal and Washington are taking a good look.
Skinny: The reason that Williams is a sleeper is that he played tight end as a sophomore so he didn’t rack up the big numbers. He will team up with highly regarded wide receiver Michael Bumpas to give Culver City high a lethal duo at the wide receiver position.
Look for Williams to have huge numbers his senior season.
Williams is a big guy who can really move and he has drawn comparisons to another tremendous wide receiver with good size and speed in Washington Husky superstar Reggie Williams. Both players are athletic and can go up to make the catch in flight.
“Jaison is a stallion,” Culver City quarterback coach Greg Goodyear said. “He’s improved more than anyone on our team.”
“If you saw him as freshman, he was kind of gangly” Goodyear said. “He didn’t have the confidence and now he’s in overdrive.”
“There is no doubt that Jaison’s best football is ahead of him,” Goodyear said. “He has such incredible potential.”
