Sleeper sets first visit

Two-way sleeper standout, Kenneth Overstreet (6-2, 170, 4.5) from Los Angeles (Calif.) Locke, first caught the attention of Rivals.com with his stellar performance in the Los Angeles City Section Championship in 2005 while playing for Woodland Hills (Calif.) Taft a year ago.
Overstreet kind of got lost in the recruiting shuffle when he opted to play closer to home at Locke instead of taking the long bus ride out to Woodland Hills (Calif.) Taft where he played in 2005.

Another question mark has been Overstreet's grades but he has been putting in overtime to get himself ready for the next level and now there are schools waiting to see the results of his recent SAT.
"I've been working hard in the classroom and I should be alright," Overstreet said. "Before the break I talked to my councilor and my coach, they told me if I pass my test I should be okay."
Overstreet has one visit set to Utah State on January 12th while UCLA, Oregon State, Fresno State and Idaho are very interested.
UCLA even invited Overstreet for the USC game played on December 2nd.
In an earlier interview with Rivals.com Locke coach
"Kenneth can play on either side of the ball on the D-I level, but his butter is really as a cornerback because of his range and his lockdown ability," Locke coach Wayne Crawford said. "As a wide receiver, he has the speed to stretch the field.
Overstreet has racked up 37 tackles and four interceptions, three of them he returned back for scores from his cornerback position. On offense, he has over 10 catches and two touchdowns.
Overstreet earned second-team all-city and first-team all-league for his senior season performance.
It could be a very interesting January for Overstreet.
