Sleeper Safety Likes Two Locals

One of the top defensive players in Massachusetts isn’t ready to pick any favorites. However, he does seem high on two schools in particular, and both of them offer the opportunity to play close to home.
“I like the idea of staying in Massachusetts,” said safety Adjatay Nyadjroh from Andover (Mass.) Phillips Academy. “That said, I like Harvard and Boston College a lot. Harvard just speaks for itself. The school is tremendous, and an education there would help me throughout life. They also went undefeated last year, so I would get to play at a successful school. I like Boston College a lot too. They were one of the top 25 teams in the country last year and should be again this year. The idea of playing against some of the top teams in the country is appealing.”

Although Nyadjroh says he won’t name any favorites and he’s open, it certainly appears as though Harvard and BC appear to be the teams to beat. Those are the two places he has spent the most time, and plans on spending more time there.
“I’ve been to Boston College a number of times, and hope to go back. I also enjoyed a trip to Harvard. I went to the Boston College camp and it was a great experience. I got a chance to gain some exposure with not only BC, but some other schools. As far as officials go, all I know is that I’m going to take one to Harvard in December.”
Last year at Phillips Academy, the 6-foot-2, 190-pound safety picked off four passes and made about 25 tackles, spending the vast majority of his time on the field in coverage. Nyadjroh runs the 40-yard dash in 4.51 seconds, and has a frame that would allow him to put on a lot of muscle.
He’s very confident about Phillips Academy’s team this year, and believes they have a chance to win a lot of games.
“We’ve got some good guys coming back, and a lot of good players coming in. From what I hear, we could compete for a prep title. Hopefully by the end of the year I’ll be ready to decide. I’m going to wait a while and use all my options.”
