Sleeper returns home and is ready for big year

Watching what happens during the recruiting season is always a work in progress. There will be new names added to our list as the season progresses and players that have been on our database for a long time but haven’t received a lot of love will all of a sudden start to get a lot of love.
One player who has been on our database since February who is someone to watch is wide receiver Deshawn Green (6-0, 175, 4.4) from Playa Del Rey (Calif.) Saint Bernard.

One of the reasons that Green is a sleeper is that he was at Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey a year ago after playing with Saint Bernard a year ago and the Dons don’t throw the ball that much.
Now that Green is back at Saint Bernard look for him to be one of four star quarterback Rocky Hinds’ (6-5, 225, 4.4) go to guys in 2003.
“Deshawn has great hands,” Saint Bernard head coach Greg Dixon said. “He has extremely deceptive speed. Deshawn doesn’t look like he’s moving fast but he is.”
“Deshawn probably runs the best routes on the team,” Dixon said. “He runs crisp and disciplined routes.”
“Running routes was something we worked on as a team to improve,” Dixon said. “Deshawn definitely put in the work.”
Colorado, Oregon, Oregon State and Washington are in on this sleeper.
Once the rest of the west sees what Green can do with Hinds pulling the trigger the list of schools will likely grow.
