Sleeper RB Gets Raves From Coach

Teams looking for a strong cutback runner who moves the chains might want to make a call to Head Coach Tony Bianchi at Webster High School in New York.
"Karl Garritano is a very good running back," said Bianchi of his 5-foot-11, 180-pounder who rushed for 2,300 yards and 36 touchdowns as a junior. "He's not a speed demon, but he's a good feel runner. He's a cutback runner with great vision and he runs everything well -- sweeps as well as inside handoffs."

Garritano camped at Boston College and is also being recruited by Pitt and Syracuse. His teammate, Lee Williams, is already committed to Syracuse.
"The Syracuse coaches know about him, but not many others do," he said. "I think once he has a strong start to his senior year, the other schools will take notice."
Garritano had his best game last season against Fayetteville-Manlius High School and Syracuse signee Damien Rhodes.
"He ran for 240 yards and was not 100-percent," said Bianchi. "He's a great blocker, has good hands and plays hurt. He played through a lot of injuries last season that would have sidelined other kids. He's a tough player."
