Sleeper quarterback gets new offer

Central (La.) quarterback Tyler Wolfe recently picked up a new offer.
Tulane extended a scholarship to the 6-foot-5 signal caller during a visit with him at his school on Thursday. The Green Wave joins Louisiana Tech as Wolfe's only Division I-A offers.

"(Tulane) got started late and that's why they haven't been in the mix," Wolfe said. "I was excited, they immediately jumped on my list. I like both schools (Tulane and Louisiana Tech) because they offer the chance to play Division I-A football."
Wolfe is making an official visit to Ruston, La., to check out the Bulldogs this weekend. He will make an official to Tulane on Jan. 27.
Pete Perot is recruiting Wolfe for Louisiana Tech. Garret Chacere is the recruiter of record for the Green Wave.
Perot and Bulldogs head coach Jack Bicknell made an in-home visit with Wolfe this past week.
"They talked about how it was my decision," he said. "They said they wanted me and I am interested."
SEC programs Arkansas and Mississippi State remain in the mix. Neither has offered, but would jump to the top of Wolfe's list if they did.
A first team all-district selection, Wolfe passed for 2,251 yards and 22 touchdowns in leading Central to its first playoff berth in more than 10 years.
